11/3/2010: Period started.
11/5/2010: Blood work (estrogen and FSH levels came back fine); start birth control pill. Officially begin my IVF cycle.
11/12/2010: IVF class.
11/18/2010: Start injections of 10 IU of Lupron.
11/21/2010: Stop birth control pill.
11/24/2010: Baseline sonogram and E2 blood work. Estradiol level is 32 (below 71 is considered good). Baseline sonogram showed my "woman parts" are suppressed.
11/24/2010: Acupuncture.
11/27/2010: Start stimulation injections - 150 IU of Follistim and 75 IU of Menopur; drop Lupron to 5 IU; begin taking 81 mg of Aspirin.
12/1/2010: Monitoring sonogram and E2 blood work. 14 follicles (ranging from 6mm to 11mm). Keep stimulation dosages the same.
12/1/2010: Acupuncture.
12/4/2010: Monitoring sonogram and E2 blood work. 18 follicles (ranging from 9mm to 13mm). Keep stimulation dosages the same.
12/6/2010: Monitoring sonogram and blood work. 21 follicles (ranging from 12mm to 16mm - three are mature). Keep stimulation dosages the same.
12/7/2010: Monitoring sonogram and E2 blood work. 23 follicles (4 are mature, with the largest one measuring at 20mm; there is a handful that are almost mature). Keep stimulation dosages the same.
12/8/2010: Monitoring sonogram and E2 blood work. 32 follicles (8 are mature, with the largest one measuring at 21mm; there is a handful that are almost mature). Trigger shot tonight!
12/10/2010: Egg retrieval. 17 eggs retrieved. 16 fertilized.
12/13/2010: 3-day fertilization report shows 12 embryos look strong enough to make it to the blastocyst stage. Opt for 5-day transfer.
12/15/2010: Embryo transfer. 2 5-day blastocysts transferred (5B-B- and 3AA grades). The remaining embryos are left to grow for one more day.
12/16/2010: 3 6-day blastocyst embryos (5AA, 5BB- and 2AB grades) are frozen. The remaining embryos are not good enough quality to be frozen and are discarded.
12/24/2010: BFN.
