Today's ultrasound went really well. Actually, it was the most uneventful one yet, but Tristan's growing like a champ. My OB-GYN measured Tristan's head, stomach and femur bone (the 3 ways to measure how a baby is growing), made sure he was still a boy (no doubt!) and then was done.
Tristan's heartbeat rate wasn't measured, which I would've liked to hear. I didn't get any pictures, which of course I would've loved. I didn't even get to see a profile picture of my little man. Just the top of his humungous head, which, by the way, is right where it's supposed to be. He's face down, bottoms up in me...getting all snug and ready for his big day!
Tristan is measuring 10 to 12 days ahead of his due date! I knew he would be. He is a Johnson! :)
And, the moment we've all been waiting for (well, at least me!)...my repeat c-section has officially been scheduled! Unless he decides to make his grand appearance earlier, Tristan Nathaniel Johnson will be born on Friday, December 2, 2011! The countdown has commenced.
50 days?!?!?!? How is that even possible?

Blog Nesting
Yes, I got rid of my super cute blog design.
Yes, I realize this new blog design is not nearly as cute and frilly and appealing to the eyes.
But, I wanted a change.
I don't know what brought on this change, but I've been itching to change my blog for awhile now. It's probably my crazy, pregnancy hormones making me make crazy, pregnancy decisions, but who's to say. Maybe I just needed to simplify things.
My previous blog design had gotten so "busy" with much to look at. I just want to focus on my posts. My words and whatever stories, truths or insights they may tell.
I do plan on updating the sidebar links, but for now, this is what you get.
I would love to have a blog designer have at my blog, making a new "simple" look for my blog, but money is tight. Very tight. So, for now, this template will have to suffice.
And, frankly, I like it! :)
And, at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

30 and 31 Weeks
How Far Along: 31 weeks (and 2 days)!
Size of Baby: Tristan is 16 inches long and weighs almost 3-1/2 pounds.
Picture of Baby: I have an ultrasound this week, so hopefully I'll have something to share with you in a few days. :)
31 Weeks: Tristan is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's moving a lot, too - his kicks and somersaults keep me up at night. All this moving is a sign that Tristan is active and healthy. (Information taken from BabyCenter's website).
Weight Gain: Not weighing myself at home, so I'll find out at my appointment this week how much I've gained. Yippee.
Sleep: Good nights and bad nights. Tristan has been very active at night, not allowing me to sleep as well.
Best Moment of the Week: Lots of good moments these past two weeks. Pregnancy life is great. :)
Movement: My stomach is constantly rolling. I love it!
Symptoms: Heartburn! That is seriously my only consistent complaint with this pregnancy. I definitely get winded faster and can't bend down, but that's the price a woman pays when in the third trimester.
Food Cravings: Nothing in particular, really.
What I Miss: Not having heartburn. All. The. Time.
What I'm Looking Forward to: My ultrasound this week. Yay!
Weekly Wisdom: Don't overdo yourself. The past two weeks have been incredibly busy, and my body was feeling it. Remember to take it easy, listen to your body and rest as much as possible.
Milestones: I am officially 7 months pregnant today (since my due date is December 9th). Wow!

No News is Good News
Well, it's been two weeks since my 3-hour glucose test. I was told my doctor would only call me with bad results. So, because that call never came, I'm assuming that means I'm in the clear.
So, yay for no news meaning good news!
I'm so glad my body didn't fail me, although at times, I still feel my sugar level is a little whack. I'm sure what I'm feeling is also just normal pregnancy symptoms.
In other news, I'll be 31 weeks pregnant tomorrow! I will try and post my weekly pregnancy update, especially since I didn't post anything when I turned dirty thirty. I can't believe how close I am to meeting my son! :)

Busy Prego Bumble Bee
This blog has been put on the back burner lately, but not due to 3rd trimester laziness.
Due to 3rd trimester craziness!
Bzzzzzzz!
What have I been up to the past couple weeks?
Due to 3rd trimester craziness!
Bzzzzzzz!
What have I been up to the past couple weeks?
- My grandma's 75th birthday party;
- My baby shower;
- Ella's 5th birthday party (of which 30+ people ended up coming, 12 of which were rambunctious little kiddos!);
- A college friend's wedding in Tahoe (3-1/2 hours away from where I live).
And, with every minute of the past two weekends being completely prearranged, and my weekdays following suit, it goes without saying that I haven't had the extra time that I need to commit to blogging.
But, with less than 10 weeks 'til Tristan's due date, I am now planning to use my time different. I plan to give my body the rest and relaxation it needs (because you better believe Braxton Hicks contractions are very heightened when I don't allow myself the proper rest), and to soak in these final weeks as a family of 3 as we all prepare for what will serve to be one of the best days of this family's collective lives.
I will update you all on all my fun activities the past couple weeks, but for now, after unpacking from our trip to Tahoe, I'm going to relax on the couch with my favorite person. My husband.
